Ep. 102 Randi Neal: From Meth Addict to Mental Health Advocate

Randi Neal has overcome some of the most difficult challenges in life. At a young age, Randi was sexually abused by her stepdad which lead to drug addiction, physically abusive relationships, homelessness, alcoholism, multiple stays in rehab, suicide attempts and criminal charges.

Growing up, Randi was a dancer, on the drill team, an honor roll student and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Weber State.

After years of working through her trauma, Randi was able to turn her life around. Randi shared her story on social media and realized she was not alone and could offer help to those who have been in similar situations. Randi is a Mental Health Advocate and is working to become a Trauma and Recovery Coach.

In this episode of Flip Your Script with Kristi Piehl, Randi talks about her past and how being vulnerable and sharing her story has not only helped her but how she plans to help others.

Topics of sexual assault and abuse are discussed in this episode. Listener discretion is advised.

CHALLENGE FOR LISTENERS:

  1. Is there something in your background that you haven't shared? Is there something that if you shared, it would help you heal? Or could help someone else?

  2. When you hear someone else be vulnerable, authentic or transparent, celebrate them.
