Ep. 109 Faatemah Ampey: From Celebrity Hairstylist to Community Beautifier

Faatemah Ampey has had a remarkable career as an award-winning hair stylist, salon owner, beauty influencer and a Bravo TV reality star. But she's found a new purpose over the last two years.

Following the murder of George Floyd, the streets near Faatemah’s SuiteSpot Salon were vandalized. With all the pain and destruction happening in Minneapolis, it became her mission to help rebuild the businesses around her and bring beauty back into the community. Faatemah worked with several businesses and a group of volunteers to plant flowers that lined the streets.

In this episode of Flip Your Script with host Kristi Piehl, Faatemah talks about the impact the murder of George Floyd had on the community and how she is using her power and a new purpose to challenge others to think differently about beauty.
