Ep. 117 Amalia Moreno-Damgaard: From International Banking to International Cuisine

Sustainable farming and clean eating were influential parts of Amalia Moreno-Damgaard’s childhood growing up in Guatemala. Amalia’s grandmother taught her entrepreneurial lessons and cooking using local, natural ingredients.

Amalia came to the United States to advance her education and pursue a career in international banking. After Amalia had her son, she decided to stay home with him, giving her the opportunity to pursue her passion and turn it into her career.

Today, Amalia is a business leader, multi-award-winning author, speaker, consultant and chef entrepreneur. She is on a mission to help people understand Latin American culture through culinary experiences and storytelling.

In this episode of Flip Your Script with Kristi Piehl, Amalia shares where her passion for culture and cuisine came from and how she is using her passion today.
