Ep. 140 Sasha DiGiulian: From Breaking Stereotypes to World Champion Climber

Sasha DiGiulian stepped into a climbing gym for the first time at the age of six at her older brother's birthday party; she was competing within a year. She’s gained global attention and has been on the cover of 27 magazines and features that include Oprah, Good Morning America, The Today Show, 60 Minutes Sports, CNN, Vogue, and TIME.

On her climb to the top, she has overcome imposter syndrome, physical and mental challenges. Now, Sasha is a two-time world champion rock climber, the undefeated Pan-American Champion for a 10-year span and three-time US National Champion. She continues to dominate a traditionally male sport.

In her memoir, Take The Lead: Hanging on, Letting Go, and Conquering Life’s Hardest Climbs, Sasha talks about her experiences as a Columbia University graduate, adventurer, environmentalist, entrepreneur and one of the most recognizable faces in climbing.

In this episode of Flip Your Script with Kristi Piehl, Sasha shares how she navigates her passion of climbing, being a role model and giving back to her community. Her goal is to spread the power of perseverance and positivity through her own personal journey.
