Ep. 83 Terry Esau: From TV Jingle Writer to Record-Breaking Philanthropist
Terry Esau is a composer, producer, author, biking enthusiast and guitar-giver. Terry has written and produced thousands of pieces of music for TV commercials for companies such as McDonalds, Target, Pepsi and Harley Davidson. After working on more than 1,000 commercials and writing TV shows, he decided to author his own books.
In 2010, Terry started a non-profit called Free Bikes 4 Kidz and has given away over 110,000 bicycles to kids in need. He holds the Guinness World Record for most bikes collected in one day. Terry recently co-founded a new non-profit, Free Guitars 4 Kids, where he hopes to expand on the success he’s had with bikes. Both non-profit organizations have similar missions, to get unused bicycles and guitars out of garages and basements and into the hands of children who cannot afford one.
In this episode of Flip Your Script with Kristi Piehl, Terry shares his love for biking and music and how he has used two of his passions to make a difference in children’s lives.
