Ep. 20 Sean McCabe: From Workaholic to Sabbatical Expert

Self-declared workaholic and entrepreneur Sean McCabe spent years working 18-hours days, barely stopping to sleep. The extreme hours spent working took its toll on Sean mentally and physically. The script flipped for Sean when he realized all the people he considered friends were on his payroll, including his wife. After some serious research, Sean found the sabbatical concept to be a unique option and the ultimate solution he needed to balance his professional life. Sean now takes every seventh week off to recharge and be open to the possibilities presented. In preparation for Kristi’s own sabbatical, they discuss Sean’s mission to change employers’ perceptions of sabbaticals, the concept of “having to” versus “getting to” and the power taking time away can have on your personal and professional development.
