Ep. 35 Mike DelGuidice: From Playing Piano Bars to Playing with the Piano Man

Some people say never meet your heroes, but for Mike DelGuidice, meeting one of his greatest inspirations changed his life forever. Mike grew up on Long Island looking up to the one and only, Billy Joel. At a young age, Mike knew he was meant to be an artist, musician and performer. Mike was hustling playing piano bar gigs and fronting Big Shot, a Billy Joel tribute band, as well as working on his original music when everything changed. People from Billy Joel’s band heard Mike sing Billy’s music and immediately knew the legend had to see Mike in action himself. Not too long after Billy heard Mike play, he invited Mike to sing, play and tour with his band. In this episode, Kristi Piehl, both a Billy Joel and Mike DelGuidice fan, talks with Mike about finding his passion for music, the importance of being open to opportunity and being the person that encourages someone else to pursue their dreams.
