Ep. 61 Kara Robinson Chamberlain: From Surviving a Serial Killer to Sharing Her Strength

Kara Robinson Chamberlain was 15 years old when a man abducted and sexually assaulted her for 18 hours. She escaped, and the details she shared with police helped them arrest her abductor, only to learn he was a serial killer who murdered at least three women. Nearly two decades later, Kara has dedicated her life to supporting survivors, becoming a victim advocate and sharing her story around the country.

Kara sat down with Flip Your Script host Kristi Piehl to talk about how social media is helping her share her story, what the True Crime genre gets wrong in telling victims’ stories and what it was like to survive a serial killer.

Topics of sexual assault, trauma and murder are discussed in this episode. Listener discretion is advised.
