Ep. 62 Kristy Sidlar: From Rare Diagnosis to a Change of Heart

Kristy Sidlar was fit and active when she passed out while teaching an aerobics class. Doctors told her it was probably dehydration or low blood sugar and to simply listen to her body when exercising. A few years later, Kristy was riding her bike on her 31st birthday when she noticed her heart beating abnormally. She was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with a rare heart condition, arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy. She recently had a heart transplant and learned details about her donor.

Kristy is using her passion for women’s heart health to help people understand the importance of focusing on six core dimensions of wellness: physical, emotional, social, financial, vocational and spiritual. She’s also writing a book, My Change of Heart, which will be released in February 2022. In this episode of Flip Your Script, Kristy openly shares her difficult and emotional journey to wellness.
